I suffered a rotator cuff impingement, and physical therapy wasn't helping -- in fact, it seemed to make it worse. I decided to try acupuncture, and the results were really surprising. After 3 treatments, I recovered movement in my shoulder, and the pain greatly decreased. Six treatments later, my shoulder feels fantastic, and it functions normally again. It's been a great way to heal and recover.

After months of dealing with doctors, a stomach specialist and multiple tests that showed nothing explaining the cause of my stomach pain I researched acupuncture and found Monica had glowing reviews. She promptly got me in and explained the principles of acupuncture and why it would be effective. I immediately showed signs of improvement and with follow up appointments, herbs and Monica's knowledge of what needed to be eliminated from my diet I am pain free! Monica and I have shared an office for the past two years. In working with her both personally and professionally I've found her to be a highly skilled and dedicated practitioner. I've refered several clients that have suffered from chronic migraines with great success. I have also worked in tandem with Monica on several whiplash cases and her treatments have greatly facilitated the success of my own massage work. In January 2010 I was diagnosed with poly-cystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). As a result, I was unable to naturally ovulate on a monthly basis. In addition to working with a reproductive endocrinologist, I had regular acupuncture sessions with Monica at Seattle Acupuncture. Within 5 months I was pregnant with my first child. I have no doubt that the acupuncture sessions directly contributed to my ability to get pregnant and maintain a healthy pregnancy. I revisited Monica when I was 41 weeks pregnant to see if she could help me go into labor naturally. After one session, my water broke the next day and I was able to have the baby without a c-section. I would like to thank Seattle Acupuncture for helping to bring this great addition to our family.

Working with Monica has allowed me to achieve a dramatic advancement in the treatment of my chronic pain. Her techniques in treatment exceed any other acupuncturist that I have worked with anywhere in the world. She focuses effectively on the issues that are troubling me and thinks outside the box to incorporate sympathetic systems that may be the route of unexplained and reoccurring pain, rather than just the pain. I love the way she explains how my nervous system works in plain English, without the dry technology terms.

I went to Monica for gastrointestinal problems which I had experienced for several months. I had relief in the 1st session. I have received several treatments since that 1st visit and I continue to improve. I also had neck pain from a car accident from years ago. She was able to completely remove the pain and stiffness in only a few visits. I highly recommend her for whatever ails you.

In my opinion Monica is the absolute best acupuncturist out there. I have seen her for a number of different reasons over the years and she has helped me a great deal.

For example... I had years of infertility, saw other acupuncturists and even had a failed IVF. After seeing Monica for just 3 months, my menstrual cycle completely changed, I felt better, had more energy and GOT PREGNANT after having a frozen embryo transferred!! I have referred many friends to her for fertility issues and they have all had success. She is not only great at what she does, but she is so dedicated to her patients. A few months into my pregnancy, I began to bleed heavily and e-mailed her on Christmas day to let her know what happened. She immediately called me back, left her family dinner (on CHRISTMAS!!!) to meet me at her office for a treatment. And thanks to her, I had a healthy little boy. Seriously I can't recommend her enough. 

I was in a car accident while on vacation which gave me a terrible bone bruise on my knee. It hurt to walk or just bend my knee. It wasn’t getting any better until it was treated with acupuncture by Monica. I’ve been treated by Monica for other things and already was impressed by her thorough approach to treating her patients.

Her evaluation is focused on you and your needs and she does everything to get you back to the place you want to be. After every treatment, my knee felt significantly better and within a few weeks, I was back to normal. She advised me on things to do on my own to speed up recovery, and paired her acupuncture with electrostimulation therapy. She also recommended some amazing Chinese Herbal Medicine pads to help with blood flow and overall recovery.

Her realistic positivity is so helpful in the healing process, and I was so amazed at the recovery my knee has made within a few short weeks of seeing her. I  initially sought treatment from another acupuncturist. After several months of seeing little to no results, I made an appointment with Monica. A co-worker of mine had been seeing Monica for several months and insisted I give her a try. After my first treatment, many of the symptoms associated with the chronic illness I have been coping with since 1988, had subsided. The results continue to date and I have every intention on continuing treatment with Monica. She is a very wise professional that is really a pleasure to work with.
