How Does Acupuncture Feel?

I suffered a rotator cuff impingement, and physical therapy wasn't helping -- in
fact, it seemed to make it worse. I decided to try acupuncture, and the results were
really surprising. After 3 treatments, I recovered movement in my shoulder, and the
pain greatly decreased. Six treatments later, my shoulder feels fantastic, and it functions
normally again. It's been a great way to heal and recover.

I first saw Monica when my ENT sent me for some hearing loss caused by a virus in my ear. I had long since stopped going to acupuncturists because I didn’t like the needles. Monica’s treatments not only improved my hearing, but helped me overcome my aversion to the needles. Monica is a natural healer and is super understanding and gentle with “needle wimps.” She has a special technique for inserting the needles that is way more comfortable. Monica is particularly skilled at explaining Chinese Medicine and acupuncture in terms that people indoctrinated in the Western Medicine approach can readily understand. I’ve also seen her for digestive issues, sleep, bladder infections, and sports injuries. She has been helping me for years, and I would strongly recommend her.

I found out I was pregnant February 2007. My husband and I were thrilled. Sadly I lost that pregnancy at 15 weeks. We were devastated. After a few months I fell pregnant again but sadly it was an ectopic pregnancy and we had to terminate it. We then tried for about a year without success. Finally 13 months after my last loss I realized I was expecting once again but again I suffered another miscarriage. About this time I learned from a friend with fertility issues that she was able to conceive and carry a full term pregnancy after undergoing acupuncture treatment. So even before I got pregnant for a 4th time I went to see Monica. I am really glad I did. I fell pregnant a lot quicker after I started acupuncture and I had weekly treatments throughout the first trimester. I believe it made all the difference for me. I experienced an uneventful pregnancy for the first time and my son Nicholas was born January 2010!

I  initially sought treatment from another acupuncturist. After several months of seeing little to no results, I made an appointment with Monica. A co-worker of mine had been seeing Monica for several months and insisted I give her a try. After my first treatment, many of the symptoms associated with the chronic illness I have been coping with since 1988, had subsided. The results continue to date and I have every intention on continuing treatment with Monica. She is a very wise professional that is really a pleasure to work with. I came to Monica with shoulder and bicep issues, after explaining the sensations I was having she quickly got to work. Not long after nearly all the pain was gone! I have returned for a similar service several times and am glad to report I no longer have shoulder or bicep pain.

I used to believe that acupuncture was only helpful for minor problems. I thought I needed an M.D. for the "big stuff". Over the many years that I have been working with Monica, I have discovered that I no longer need an M.D. at all. Monica is completely able to handle everything, even infections which I believed could only be cured by antibiotics. I visit her every month to maintain my health. Since we handle health problems early, they do not escalate. There is no "big stuff" anymore. This is an entirely new and superior approach to health, which I recommend for everyone.

I have been regular client of Monica Legatt for over 10 years, and have had the most success with her. She has solved or healed issues no other medical procedure or therapy could. For example, she has helped my knees, ears, respiratory system, and other issues.

I owe my new life to Monica. I went to see her about a year ago to help with anxiety and stress. She changed my life. I no longer take pills that make me feel like a zombie or eat away at my stomach.

Monica is extremely knowledgeable, and I notice results each time I see her. She is truly all about understanding and treating your entire self - not just one issue.

The treatment rooms are so calming and always filled with soft meditating music. Its easy to relax, even when you have needles all over your body. I welcome my appointments every week, as I always feel so renewed and refreshed each time.

After a painful fall a few years ago, I acquired back issues. On top of that, I tried for a few years to conceive. I’ve tried many different things to help with both issues to no avail. I knew I needed a change and so I expanded my research and found Monica. Whenever I meet with Monica, she always spends time to discuss how I am and, more importantly, how she will be treating me and why. Monica’s attentiveness, along with the confidence I’ve gained from her knowledge and skills, has allowed me to relax and my treatments to become effective. Thanks Monica!
