I came to Monica for help with extremely irregular cycles and ovulation. I was trying to get pregnant, but was having difficulty; I didn't ovulate until day 45-55 of every cycle, and had been unable to conceive. The first month of acupuncture with Monica, I ovulated on day 19 instead, and successfully got pregnant that month. We now have a healthy, active toddler as a result! Monica has a warm, caring demeanor combined with expertise on fertility issues, and I would recommend her to anyone struggling with infertility.

I first saw Monica when my ENT sent me for some hearing loss caused by a virus in my ear. I had long since stopped going to acupuncturists because I didn’t like the needles. Monica’s treatments not only improved my hearing, but helped me overcome my aversion to the needles. Monica is a natural healer and is super understanding and gentle with “needle wimps.” She has a special technique for inserting the needles that is way more comfortable. Monica is particularly skilled at explaining Chinese Medicine and acupuncture in terms that people indoctrinated in the Western Medicine approach can readily understand. I’ve also seen her for digestive issues, sleep, bladder infections, and sports injuries. She has been helping me for years, and I would strongly recommend her.

Working with Monica has allowed me to achieve a dramatic advancement in the treatment of my chronic pain. Her techniques in treatment exceed any other acupuncturist that I have worked with anywhere in the world. She focuses effectively on the issues that are troubling me and thinks outside the box to incorporate sympathetic systems that may be the route of unexplained and reoccurring pain, rather than just the pain. I love the way she explains how my nervous system works in plain English, without the dry technology terms.

Last winter I totally obliterated my knee in a skiing accident. With a torn ACL and badly stretched medial collateral ligament, I couldn't put weight on it. I didn't have proper medical insurance to make surgery an option and I wanted to try a less invasive method to my healing. A friend suggested that I call Monica for an acupuncture treatment. After the first visit I could tell it had helped. After three visits I felt an enormous improvement in the pain relief and mobility. I recommend it!

I started seeing Monica after a coworker recommended her after success she had seen during her pregnancy. I was experiencing very bad sciatica and lower back pain related to my pregnancy. I could barely walk, so was looking for any relief possible to get me through the final weeks of my pregnancy. Even though this was my second child, and it is expected to be a shorter delivery, I really think that all the treatments from Monica leading up to delivery made labor that much quicker and more manageable.

I came to Monica with shoulder and bicep issues, after explaining the sensations I was having she quickly got to work. Not long after nearly all the pain was gone! I have returned for a similar service several times and am glad to report I no longer have shoulder or bicep pain.
