My husband and I were trying for over a year to get pregnant without success. I was seeing an acupuncturist at the time but nothing was happening. We both starting seeing Monica and within 3 months, I was pregnant! Now we eagerly await the birth of our first child.

I went to see Monica when I became fed up with my regular medical doctor's solution to my PMS. Wanting to get the root of the problem, I decided to try acupuncture for the first time. I was surprised and relieved when Monica sat down with me on our first visit and asked me more questions about my health, history and lifestyle than my family doctor of 8 years! She guided me through the process, explained the issues, and told me what to expect during and after the treatments. By the time my next period came, I had no pain or symptoms for the first time ever! I was so excited I told all my friends. It was nothing short of a miracle for me. Her expertise, patience, understanding and genuine concern for my well-being was a refreshing change from traditional medicines.

I was getting at least one migraine every week when I first went to Monica Legatt for treatment. Her acupuncture sessions, herbal combinations and dietary advice have played a major role in reducing headache incidents to an average of one a month. Though I have since learned to avoid certain migraine triggers, and have added a B2 supplement to my anti-migraine regimen, I credit my work with Monica for the largest part of my improvement as it was under her care that I first saw a reduction in headache frequency.

Monica is thorough, knowledgeable and well-organized in her approach to healing. She's a great listener, too, and in my experience that's an all-important quality in a health care practitioner. Her attitude is one of respect, and her professional goal is very obviously to reinforce my body's efforts to heal and balance itself. I recommend her to all my friends. 

In my opinion Monica is the absolute best acupuncturist out there. I have seen her for a number of different reasons over the years and she has helped me a great deal.

For example... I had years of infertility, saw other acupuncturists and even had a failed IVF. After seeing Monica for just 3 months, my menstrual cycle completely changed, I felt better, had more energy and GOT PREGNANT after having a frozen embryo transferred!! I have referred many friends to her for fertility issues and they have all had success. She is not only great at what she does, but she is so dedicated to her patients. A few months into my pregnancy, I began to bleed heavily and e-mailed her on Christmas day to let her know what happened. She immediately called me back, left her family dinner (on CHRISTMAS!!!) to meet me at her office for a treatment. And thanks to her, I had a healthy little boy. Seriously I can't recommend her enough. 

I am your stereotypical office-bound weekend warrior athlete who finds challenges in both my chronic sports injuries and stress levels. I manage both of these things with acupuncture as well as exercise, yoga, pilates, chiropractic and massage. I feel that the common thread between my stress and many of my injuries is that I have muscle tension that I cannot quite let go of. Acupuncture is one method by which I can specifically alleviate tension and pain in my shoulders, hips and back while reducing my need for pain medication.

Working with Monica has allowed me to achieve a dramatic advancement in the treatment of my chronic pain. Her techniques in treatment exceed any other acupuncturist that I have worked with anywhere in the world. She focuses effectively on the issues that are troubling me and thinks outside the box to incorporate sympathetic systems that may be the route of unexplained and reoccurring pain, rather than just the pain. I love the way she explains how my nervous system works in plain English, without the dry technology terms.
