I've suffered from migraine headaches for 30 years and have tried all sorts of medications that have been only partially effective. However, with acupuncture I have had very effective (sometimes within minutes) relief from migraine pain. I don't fully understand how it works, but for relief of pain I highly recommend it.

I've suffered from chronic neck pain for many years. Since all my previous treatments didn't seem to help, I decided to try acupuncture. After a few treatments with Monica, I began to feel better. I continued to see her for several months. My neck pain has diminished; I have more energy and a more positive outlook toward my health and well being. I went to Monica when we first started trying to conceive. Her treatments were very calming, relaxing, and always made me feel better. Once I became pregnant, I continued to get acupuncture treatments throughout my first trimester to help ease the nausea and promote the positive energy I needed to make it through that fragile time period. I believe my acupuncture treatments helped me both physically and mentally to achieve a happy, healthy pregnancy.

I came through Seattle with the national tour of "Wicked" and immediately had a reaction to the climate change, developing bronchitis and acid reflux, which I have never suffered as a singer before. After going to more than one traditional ENTs and getting all kinds of prescription medication that actually made me feel worse, I turned to Monica, hoping that she could help me get back in the show. After just 2 treatments and taking the herbs she gave me, as well as following the diet guidelines she had suggested, I felt so much better, both physically and mentally. She was always there to answer any questions I had and to fit me into her schedule whenever she could. I continued to see Monica until I left Seattle, and every single visit was a calming, healing experience. She has changed my entire opinion of acupuncture and opened my mind to a whole new way of health and wellness. I'm just sad that she doesn't live in New York, where I'm from!

Working with Monica has allowed me to achieve a dramatic advancement in the treatment of my chronic pain. Her techniques in treatment exceed any other acupuncturist that I have worked with anywhere in the world. She focuses effectively on the issues that are troubling me and thinks outside the box to incorporate sympathetic systems that may be the route of unexplained and reoccurring pain, rather than just the pain. I love the way she explains how my nervous system works in plain English, without the dry technology terms.

I've found that acupuncture, coupled with herb supplements that Monica recommended, have helped treat and control psoriasis in surprising ways. I had tried various steroid- based traditional treatments from my doctor, and they're pricey and not very effective. Psoriasis isn't something 'curable,' but acupuncture and herb treatment has greatly reduced my skin issues and has been abundantly helpful.

In my opinion Monica is the absolute best acupuncturist out there. I have seen her for a number of different reasons over the years and she has helped me a great deal.

For example... I had years of infertility, saw other acupuncturists and even had a failed IVF. After seeing Monica for just 3 months, my menstrual cycle completely changed, I felt better, had more energy and GOT PREGNANT after having a frozen embryo transferred!! I have referred many friends to her for fertility issues and they have all had success. She is not only great at what she does, but she is so dedicated to her patients. A few months into my pregnancy, I began to bleed heavily and e-mailed her on Christmas day to let her know what happened. She immediately called me back, left her family dinner (on CHRISTMAS!!!) to meet me at her office for a treatment. And thanks to her, I had a healthy little boy. Seriously I can't recommend her enough. 

Symptoms of fatigue and weakness had set in my body from overwork and embodiment of emotional stress. I experienced profound response to my acupuncture treatments and herbs and my health improved drastically.

Monica's compassion and patience toward my condition and her understanding of Chinese medicine restored my energy (chi) and brought about a greater awareness of creating balance between yin and yang in my life. I continue to incorporate all aspects of Chinese medicine as a preventative measure and continue to reap great rewards in terms of my health, mental attitude and emotional well being.
